Slumdog really, really deserved it! I even listening to 'jai ho' right now. Maybe I should watch Kuch Kuch Hota Hai after this. yikes. Hahaha!Bollywood has takeover Hollywood.Malay movies, when? We're counting on you, sir!:D
i saw kate's winning speech. She was absolutely brilliant and honest. I always like it when actors are able to remain humble, yet being proud of their work. I saw her acting in the reader, and i was blown away. Totally.Slumdog millionaire was critically acclaimed, and I do like the movie as a whole. It's beautiful. I must say that the acting is lacking in terms of the wow factors, but it was well backed with other fun elements of the movie. Quite happy that it won anyway. Yay to british! ha ha
yeah bollywood didn't exactly invade hollywood. Slumdog is Danny Boyle's movie and he represents a new generation of filmmakers: independant filmmakers. The movie only has a budget of 15 mil dollars which is phenomenally partial of any of the other nominated movies. N i read that slumdog was intended to only be sold in dvds, not be screened in cinemas. Who would've thought eh?If you like his film Slumdog, be sure to watch his other revolutionary movies like 28 days later and Sunshine.
I havent watch the reader yet but now that she won, I will. My uncle watched it and he told me that it was more of a soft porn than a good movie. Hahaha. And she's in that circle, you know. I think everybody anticipated her win so I wasn't that surprised. And about being humble, she's an oscar winning actress. Her humility could've simply be an act, who knows...
