Amazing

Barack Obama is now the President of United States! Amazing. Just like India's first Sikh Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Or the dictator of Jewish origin by the name of Adolf Hitler who massacred millions of Jews. Or the Austrian bodybuilder who became the governor of California. What next? A Tibetan Chinese President? A talking goldfish?
When it comes down to it, we are still humans with similar aspirations, inspiration and yeah that too, perspiration.
A few decade ago, the very idea of a half Kenyan president was incomprehensible. Like BN being a multicultural party. I know it seems like impossible now but in less than five years, it will eventually happen. This is where it's all going anyway right?
Right. Last exam tomorrow.
Right.

We just never stop hoping, do we?

Both here in Malaysia and there in the U.S, and elsewhere in the world, change is happening. We don't know whether that immediate change is having immediate good effect, but in the world that we live in now.... change is what we need.

Hopefully this all means something better is about to come..

I hope Malaysia does change. We refer to many of our conducts with US then UK. So if US can have a non-white to lead them, I think we too in the very near future can have an extremely credible non-malay as a PM. Right?

Right?

What say you?

well Diran

i dont see any reason why we can't.
yes, of course we can.. provided the non bumis are willing to let go SRJK(C) and SRJK(T)
everyone goes for one integrated national school curriculum
where everyone can speak one national languange

my point is the non Bumi have to be willing to 'let go' if they want the bumi to also 'let go'

a good example is Thai
All Chinese in Thai pay their respect and loyalty to HRH King Bhumiphol as equal as other (bumi)Thai. All Chinese speak Thai in their daily business ops. All CHinese go to Thai school.
And the prev Thai PM is Chinese.. but he speaks Thai and life like a Thai.
So, for bumi Thai, it doesnt matter whether the their PM is bumi Thai, chinese thai etc as long as they are Thai ';)

Are we (all races) are willing to shift our paradigm and integrate ourselves to be one Malaysian like Thai?

then we can talk about the non bumi becomes the PM

i bet it is a fair justification, aight? ';)

p/s: dat felo can say anything he wants lah, i dunn have any respect for those who are not hardworking, speak a lot and like to sleep.

Walk the talk is wht we need

eh, why malays pegi srjk schools? why not everyone go to wawasan schools?

Whatever it is, every country has a foundation. Our legacy is our language, bahasa melayu. So you know where I'm heading here?...

But with race politics played by the opposition (change signboards etc.) I don't see this happening anytime soon. Same goes to BN. But BN's changing for the better.

Our leaders failed in assimilatiing all the different races and that's that.
