What Do You Think?

I'm still looking for ideas for my upcoming documentary. So funnylah, when I say Upcoming Documentary when I don't even a subject to be documented.
I'm thinking to make a documentary about gay muslims in KL but I think it's a bit too bold. I've never come across social documentaries in Malaysia so... but IF I make the documentary, I think I will get more eggs splattered on my car on a regular basis.
What do you think? Should I proceed with Gay EL?

I have a postgraduate friend who is doing a PhD on gay Malay Muslims in Malaysia. He is going to write a dissertation on it and he needs to get clearance from both EPU and JAKIM to conduct his "fieldwork"!
So I think your documentation should not be a problem :)
Cheers!

:-) Cam Oxymoron kan "Gay Muslim". I know that no amount of eggs can stop you once you set your mind, so why bother asking... scramble those eggs and serve them... Break a Leg...

The fact is most documentaries in Malaysia have a preconceived conclusion. And research done only proves that conclusion. Try let the research flow...

Well, i think it's a good idea to produce that documentary..we need to know what are the causes leading those guys to become gays..hoho..mcm twisted tounge pulak. :P

Plus, to produce such as documentary doesn't mean we support the gay group. Perhaps, from there, we could analyse n come up with any possible solutions that could help them to be a better muslim.. =)

sangat sensitive.

i will heed ritz's take on the documentation process. I wont have any preconceive summary of the documentary. It'll be like a journey of discovery.

i don't think its sensitive at all. it's a documentary after all, not a film.
