I was recently surprised when Susuk was proclaimed to be Islamic. ????? Susuk ayat, a kind of susuk that enhances one's appearance through the ayat of the Quran is by far, the most absurd thing I've ever heard which makes Muslims who believed it even more absurd.Susuk is a practice in which a Bomoh will insert silver or golden pins into one's face to make one more beautiful and enticing. The practice is very common in south-east Asia and the involvement of various artistes strengthened the practice. To a certain extend, many users of Susuk felt justified because their Susuk was done in an Islamic method where the Bomoh will read a couple of sentences from the Quran.
If reading the Quran while doing something sinful is Islamic so is raping Islamic if the raper reads the Al-Fatihah while cajoling with a struggling underage girl? Is it Islamic if a murderer slits the throat of an innocent single mother while reciting the Yassin?
And if Susuk is so Islamic, why do the users of Susuk have to pull the foreign objects out of their faces before encountering death? And why is that the users of Susuk who had failed to do so suffered terrible deaths, having to sustain the constant gagging of an unwilling soul? Why you ask?
Because by inserting Susuk into one's face, one will have the allure provided by satan but it comes with a cost: one can never pray for as long as he/she possessed the Susuk.
So is it Islamic? No. It's satanic. Susuk is as satanic as the drinking of goat's blood of the cult sharing of the midnight blood. Susuk is evil. Susuk is an embodiment of satanic mischief. Susuk is Haram. And now Susuk is so popular that it has become the most sought after beauty treatment in Malaysia for Muslim women.
Hah, satan-faced women! Desperate sangat ke? Sangap sangat ke? Cuba lah try something a little bit sensible than cocok-cocok your face with susuk. May I suggest apples.
An apple a day will keep the Bomoh away!

I'm truly fascinated by your sypnosis of Susuk, I was Google-ing on it actually. Apparently, my grandpa had Susuk in him. He went back to Indonesia to remove it and heaved his last breath there. And surprisingly, it still exist today.
Ulama' have various opinions on susuk. It all depends its implementation (ie, putting it of it), and its intended use.
So it can range from mubah (allowed) to haram (forbidden).
For example in the past, when times were dangerous in South East Asia, warriors and even laymen may wear susuk for fighting the enemy (like the colonial masters) or for security, in addition to their combat skills. Hence the use of susuk is for self defence.
Others use susuk to control their insatiable sexual hunger, thus they are better able to control their nafs.
Some susuk will go away naturally, or the one who applies it will tell the person how to remove it himself, for example, when there is no more need to wear the susuk during peace time.
For most of us Muslims, the best is not to indulge in such practices. Reciting Holy Verses and many other awrad/amalan may be more than sufficient at the same time we get closer to Allah Taala by constant dzikir insyAllah Allahu a'lam.

4. Surah Annisaa’ – Ayat 75 :- Nescaya ia akan terselamat dari kejahatan para penjahat.
5. Surah Al Maidah – Ayat 7 :- Baca 3 hari berturut-turut selamat dari was-was masa wudhu dan solat..
6. Surah Al Maidah – Ayat 89 – 101 :- Baca dalam air dan beri minum pada orang yang berdusta, nescaya tidak akan bercakap dusta lagi
7. Surah Al An’aam :- Baca 7 kali akan terhindar dari segala bala bencana
8. Surah Al An’aam – Ayat 63 – 64 :- Dibaca oleh penumpang kapal akan terselamat dari karam dan tenggelam.
9. Surah Al A’Raaf – Ayat 23 :- Baca tiap-tiap solat fardhu lalu istighfar akan terampun dosa.
10. Surah Al A’Raaf – Ayat 47 :- Baca akan terpelihara dari kekacauan para penzalim dan mendapat rahmat Allah.
11. Surah Al Anfal – Ayat 62 – 63 :- Nescaya akan dicintai dan dihormati oleh sekalian manusia
12. Surah Al Baraah :- Terselamat dari kemunafikan dan tercapai hakikat iman.
13. Surah Al Baraah – Ayat 111 :- Baca di kedai atau tempat berniaga, nescaya akan maju.
14. Surah Al Baraah – Ayat 128 – 129 :- Baca untuk orang sukakan kita. Selalulah menghafal bacaan ini dan sekiranya pada seketika waktu kita terlupa membaca walaupun berulang-ulang kali masih tidak mengingatinya, itu menandakan ajal kita semakin hampir.
15. Surah Yunus – Ayat 31 :- Baca pada wanita hamil, lahir anak dengan selamat
16. Surah Yunus – Ayat 64 :- Nescaya terhindar dari mimpi-mimpi buruk dan mengigau.
17. Surah Al Hud :- Mendapat kekuatan dan kehebatan serta ketenangan dan tenteram jiwa.
18. Surah Al Hud – Ayat 56 :- Baca setiap masa akan terselamat dari gangguan manusia jahat dan binatang liar.
19. Surah Al Hud – Ayat 112 :- Baca 11 sekali selepas solat 5 waktu akan mencapai ketetapan hati.
20. Surah Yusuf :- Baca dimurahkan rezeki dan diberi kemuliaan disisi Allah .
Segalanya berlaku dengan izin Allah dan jangan lah kita menjadi kaum yang lemah sedangkan syaitan dan tentera2 nya siap sedia untuk menghancurkan kita dengan apa cara sekalipun termasuk lah sihir dan mentera2.
Jadi kenapa kita sebagai umat islam yang diwariskan dengan kitab yang mempunyai 1001 hikmah ini begitu bodoh sehingga tidak dapat memanfaatkan khasiatnya dengan baik.
Kita gunakan Al-Quran yang diturunkan Allah melalui Malaikat Jibril kepada Nabi Muhammad S.A.W.
